VILA JOYA [PORTUGAL]
The name tells you everything: the translation of Vila Joya is ”House of Joy” or ”Jewellery Box”. It’s a small oriental palazzo situated on an enchantingly beautiful stretch of beach near Albufeira. The twelve terrace rooms and suites all offer a direct view over the picturesque Atlantic coast of the Algarve. The sundrenched garden with palm trees, cypresses and agaves is a place of tranquillity and leisure.
The hotel’s location between Portugal’s two best loved golf courses is another bonus. One important detail - the kitchen is run by Dieter Koschina. Originally from Vorarlberg, Austria, he has settled here in the Algarve where he works his magic for the Vila Joya’s guests. In only a few years he has turned the restaurant into Portugal’s top gourmet location.
