TWIN FARMS [VERMONT]

In the 1930s and 40s, the Twin Farms in Barnard, Vermont were the home of the famous writer and Nobel prizewinner Sinclair Lewis and his then wife Dorothy Thompson, herself equally famous as a grand dame of journalism. The Twin Farms Resort’s two large farmhouses and their tastefully furnished lodges and cabins have now become a refuge which has not only won a host of top hotel awards but also represents a piece of U.S. history.

Added to that is the breathtaking scenery. Hikes in the lush green woods, the Indian Summer, bike tours, fly fishing or swimming in the warmer months, and skiing, snowshoe hiking, sleigh rides and ice skating in the winter. Or how about horseback riding out in the countryside?
