The Nihiwatu Resort is located along a breathtakingly beautiful two and a half kilometre stretch of beach which is protected by headlands at each end. The estate covers 175 hectares of tropical rainforest, plus rice terraces and meadows. Another aspect that makes this lovely little gem so special is the fact that the island is one of the most remote in the Indonesian archipelago, lying about 400 kilometres south-east of Bali.
Its founders, Petra and Claude Craves, spent two years in simple huts on the beach themselves before deciding to share this magical haven with the rest of the world. After years of hard work, the result is this unique resort.
