Jack’s Camp [Botswana]

Jack’s Camp occupies a position in the Makgadikgadi salt pans in Botswana, by a mystical lake which has long been dry. In the rainy season from December to April the pans fill with rainwater, becoming a vital source of life for flocks of birds and herds of animals. The endless white plains and baobab trees, and the breath- taking sunsets make this a unique camp.

It was built in old safari style, with ten luxury tents with dressing table, kerosene lamp, bath and an extra outdoor shower for anyone who likes to feel the African wind brush their skin. The restaurant resembles a national museum – it houses a valuable collection of artefacts, fossils and stone tools.
