Banjaar Tola Tented Camp [India]

Here the tiger is king. The Kanha National Park, India’s biggest nature reserve, is home to the Indian tiger, or Bengal tiger as it is also known. The park is alive with other wildlife, too - with luck it’s an excellent spot for watching leopards, wild dogs, bears and a variety of species of bird - all from a safe distance, of course.

Close by is the Banjaar Tola Tented Camp. Expeditions by Jeep or on the back of an elephant set off twice a day from the camp into the National Park. At the camp, the very private veranda makes a peaceful place to relax, overlooking the Banjaar River which lazily flows by.
