BAMURRU PLAINS [Australia]
Nine free standing safari suites built on stout wooden platforms blend into the light bush which surrounds the main lodge of the luxurious Bamurru Plains Camp. The camp is located west of the Kakadu National Park, one of the most beautiful in Australia, and is a ”working buffalo station”.
The Bamurru Plains lie at the edge of the Mary River floodplains and form one of the most important ecosystems in Australia, with a variety of magnificent landscapes ranging from wetlands to Savannah. The most frequently seen animals are wallabies, antilopine kangaroos, dingoes, saltwater crocodiles, wild boar and, of course, water buffalo.
